ReWild The Child NWA, LLC was founded in 2019 by 2 occupational therapy practitioners providing summer nature camps for all kids to encourage exploration and a love for outdoor play experiences. We believe that kids need more outdoor experiences and less time on screens for optimal physical and emotional development and well-being. Our community programs are for all children, not just those receiving therapy services. Nature is for everyone!
What makes ReWild programming the best in Northwest Arkansas?
As child developmental specialists, and over the last 7 years of providing numerous outdoor programming for kids, we have developed our own nature school curriculum. Our unique curriculum focuses on sensory play, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and social skills development. Our programs encourage nature exploration, peer connections, and communication skills. Children’s brains and bodies need movement and sensory play to learn best. What better environment to provide sensory rich opportunities for brain development than the great outdoors led by pediatric health professionals!

ReWild Food Explorers Summer Camp 2026
Helping kids build confidence with food—one interaction at a time.
ReWild Food Explorers Summer Camp is designed for children who are hesitant, selective, or anxious around new foods. Using a nature-based, occupational therapy-informed approach, this camp focuses on breaking down barriers with food through hands-on exploration rather than pressure to eat.
Campers will engage with foods in playful, low-stress ways—touching, smelling, preparing, creating, and yes, taste testing at their own pace. By pairing sensory play with peer modeling and positive social experiences, children expand comfort, curiosity, and willingness around a variety of foods.
Camp Focus Includes:
- Interacting with foods through play and preparation
- Sensory exploration (texture, smell, visual tolerance)
- Food art and nature-based cooking activities
- Taste tester challenges (no-pressure exposure)
- Building food confidence in a social setting
- Expanding flexibility with new and non-preferred foods
This camp is ideal for children who benefit from gradual exposure, sensory supports, and a fun, relationship-based approach to feeding skills.
